10 Years a Pennsylvanian

On July 1st, 2005 we packed up our house in Bay Village, OH and moved to Kuztown, PA to be close to our family. The past 10 years have had their ups and downs but we love our country home in Kutztown. We had no plans for the 4th of July holiday weekend so we headed home for a weekend with the family.

The weather was beautiful on Friday so we spent it by the pool and headed to the Kuztown Folk Festival for dinner. My dad's family grew up going to and working at the Kutztown Folk Festival, so it was fun going with Andrew for the first time. We ate way too much nasty fair food and loved the farm animal petting zoo.

...and makes me want to play with llamas...

...we picked out our new baby goats...

...admired the hex signs for sale...

...and then go home because Ironman has a belly ache :)

It rained the entire day on Saturday so our plans of spending the day by the pool never came to fruition. I was getting a bit stir crazy so my sister and I tried our very own Collier Leeds photo shoot. We got a few really beautiful shots using her iPhone!

We ended the day with a big family dinner with a delicious red, white and blue cake and not a single firework.

The sun came out on Sunday just in time for a Collier Leeds photo shoot. Our dear friend, Jen Lindsay, is a very talented photographer so we asked her to come out to the country to help us. Below are two sneak peek pictures - look for more to come on www.collierleeds.com!

Our summer gets surprisingly busy starting next weekend so the chill weekend in Kutztown was just what we needed! Looking forward to what the rest of summer has to bring!
